need help, i think my sr is screwed

well, now the motor is making a ticking noise from approx. 2k to 3.5k, like two ball bearings banging together...for the life of me i cant track down where the noise is coming from...today i did a compression test:141,142,142,143...took off the valve cover and there was plenty of oil up there and i pushed down on all the lifters and none of them pushed down by hand. i then proceeded to my friends garage to take the motor back out and it let loose with a loud CLACA-LACKING sound...Do y'all know if this means i threw a rod or just completely lost a rod bearing? had it towed the rest of the way but havent torn it down yet... just wondering what im in for...i need an expert opinion bad .

BTW: Everything was stock on my motor, stock boost and still running a new stock fuel pump(should have changed it) that i put in when i had the old motor(for 1month ) and i just changed the fuel filter and it was pretty dirty... hed rust in the tank when i put the pump in and i sloshed around some HEET in the tank and let it sit a few times but im still getting a little in the fuel filter if i get low on gas.

this probably wont be the problem but make sure that the mainfold bolts are tight and secure. mine just got loose yesterday and its the loudest and most annoying niose ever. i thought i was blowing up the engine. i tightened them up and they are good to go now.

Its hard to tell cause I never heard it, but if it was bad enough that you stopped and had it towed, then yeah.... thats a really bad sign. look at it this way, if you were looking for an excuse to do a performance rebuild, you just got one. If not, then sorry, I was just trying to help.

you may have a rod thats fixing to punch a hole in your block. Or you may have loose manifold bolts. There are a lot of things thatll make that sound.
