rb25det question

The rb26dett claims the 380hp due to the "agreement" in Japan, but I've been told that just a different ECU can boost this insanely since the motor is much more capable the limit is jsut set in the ECU..

Does this same hold true for the rb25det? Is it not optimized with its management in the same way as the 26? Either way can you guys reccomend some good ECU's to get with the 25?

Haltech E6K is always a good ECU. The power limit is 276, not 380. The actual number is in kW, that's why it isn't a nice round number. The RB26 is a stronger motor than the RB25. However, if you're really looking for huge power, there's no real difference because you'd end up replacing lots of things anyway. IMO, the difference between the two isn't worth the price difference. If they were closer, I'd definately say go RB26. I've got a project car to build in a while. It'll be definately different than just about anything anyone's done, at least on the forums. Unless I can get an insane deal on a 26, I'll end up going with the 25 (assuming it will fit).

It'd really be nice if someone could give me the actual mass of the longblock as well as the dimensions of it as well.

And Night, if you see this, it will happen eventually, planning just gets bigger and more drastic as time goes on
