Sil40's point is to use the search button, and sites such as google. If you have a question and have already done this, you might want to state as much.

People here and most other boards tend to get mad when others (especially newbs) post questions without first having done the research because it wastes time and covers topics that were likely already covered. I am relatively new, but I do my research before asking a question. At a minimum, at least use this board's search function. If you still cannot find anything, say so in your post. At that point, most people will be willing to help you out by either pointing out directions you should go, or by posting older topics for you to review.

I think some people take the forums too seriously and lose sight of why most of them were started in the first place: to create a friendly atmosphere for knowledge sharing.

And remember...if Chewbacca is a Wookie, you must acquit.

I was going to leave this thread alone but WTF!!!! His *****. His retort to my post FURTHER illustrated my point. All the *******s get on the internet and think they know it all. Better kiss his *** he has 400 some odd post. He typed that LONG *** post..when he could have just helped the guy. I did all my personal research before I got my swap, BUT I wont belittle people for not doing it. The point of the boards as someone already said is to learn and talk with fellow enthusiasts but instead it turns to fights and ***** fest and honda hating and people just being *********. In the end he did NOT make me his *****. I'll let him think he is cool and Ill let you think he owned me on a damn message baord...more power to him.

I think the point here is that while you may have done your research, alot of people want others to do it for them. If someone is serious about doing a swap, they should be serious about doing the research IMO. If they don't know where to look when getting started, then I don't mind helping them. But if they are obviously too lazy to do a little legwork before asking, then I don't feel inclined to help. Please realize that I will not flame someone for asking a dumb question, but I will flame someone for being belligerent and insulting. Unfortunately, there are alot of people who don't share this philosophy and like to flame someone for being new or asking dumb questions.

I think that "someone" was me! Seriously though, some people get upset over very little these days. This is especially ridiculous when it is hard to determine someone's demeanor from what they type on an internet forum!

I don't think that getting on topic is going to help. By this I mean, the guy who started this thread has'nt posted in a while. Probably ran him off. That's a no-no . I should'nt of posted if I was'nt gonna help. This situation reminds me of a other message board that I was at and all they did when I posted was call me a ricer, bandwagon jumping, Honda boy. Nos is for cheat... come back.

I am leaning towards a clip myself because the car I have came sans engine, and I would imagine there are quite a few things that I'll need that simply did not come with the car. Assuming I get a clip, what does one do with the leftovers? Ebay them? Surely there is an abundance of useless clip goodies floating around. Anyone have experience with this dilemma?

Junk it. What would be left of any use besides a RHD conversion dash and what not. I towuld be too much of a pain to move that in a decent amoutn of time. I am junking mine.
