SR20 needs a vss, how hard is install?

I have a 95 240 with a SR20DET and Tranny in it . When the swap was performed, the previous owner did not install a sr20 vss, therefore the speedometer does not work.

How hard is it to install? Is it easily accessable, or do you have to drop the tranny? If anyone has experience with this, I would greatly appreciate anything you know about it.

Also, I was told they were about $100 from a dealer.

cake, but it HAS to have a sensor or all the trans fluid would leak out. Probably just needs to be wired in.

You can change it with the trans in the car.

Make sure he swapped the KA one into the SR tranny as it is calibrated for mph. Unless you are running the kph guage cluster then use the SR one.
