hey im a newbie i know you guys get asked this ? all the time but i just bought a 92 240 last week for $800 all it needs is a new clutch body is in perfect condition same as interior, but i hear alot of controvercy between the SR and the RB how much are they?? and i herd the SR bolts right up, how much harder is the RB to swap??

RB20 HAS ABOUT 235 HP AT THE CRANK AND CLOSE TO 200HP AT THE WHEELS
SR20 HAS ABOUT 215HP AT THE CRANK AND CLOSE TO 185HP AT THE WHEELS
THE RB20 REQUIRES NO CUSTOM PARTS AND SLIGHT MODIFICATIONS TO FIT CAN BE DONE IN 7-11HOURS WITH ALL REPLACEMENT PARTS AND A KNOWLEDGABLE INSTALLER.
THE SR20 IS JUST AS EASY TO INSTALL.
THE RB20 HAS ALOT LARGER TORQUE BAND THEN THE SR.
THE POTENTIAL OF 2 EXTRA CYLINDERS IS PHENOMINAL.
THE SR HAS AND ALUMINUM BLOCK WHILE THE RB20 HAS A IRON ONE.
THE SR WEIGHS ABOUT 70LBS GIVE OR TAKE A FEW LESS THAN THE RB.
THE SR TRANS IS EXACTLY THE SAME AS THE RB TRANS.
THE SR AFTERMARKET SUPPORT IS FAR GREATER THAN THE RB BUT THE RB IS CATCHING UP.
REBUILD PARTS FOR THE SR CAN BE FOUND IN THE US AND MOST OF THE RB PARTS HAVE TO BE IMPORTED FROM EITHER JAPAN OR AUSTRALIA.
THEY BOTH HAVE SIMILAR STRENGTHS IN THE BLOCK BEING ABLE TO HANDLE 400+ HP ON THE STOCK BOTTOM END.
THE RB TURBO IS A CERAMIC T25 W/ A T3 FLANGE THE SR IS A STRAIGHT CERAMIC T25.
THE RB20 TURBO STARTS SPOOLING AT ABOUT 2700RPM AND IS FULL SPOOLED AT 3100RPM (THIS IS ALL DEPENDANT ON IC PIPING AND OTHER FACTORS).
THE SR20 SPOOLS AT ABOUT THE SAME RATE.
THE RB IS QUITE ABIT MORE RESPONSIVE TO THE STANDARD UPGRADES THAN THE SR.
