i did my swap myself but i sent my harness to protech performance in tx. they did the harness conversion for $150 all i had to do was hook everything up. i would HIGHLY recomend NOT doing the conversion yourself unless you are extremely experienced with the 240sx wiring system. if you're not you could really screw up your car. and like hyjynx said do some investigating, make sure you're getting everything you need. i bought just the motor and tranny and i spent twice as much in the long run because i didn't have things i needed. do your homework and leave the electrical to the professionals.

i plan on doing the swap myself when i get my car/engine as well...
and i'd be doing the wiring harness too if it's all plug and play.
did you guy's hook up the wiring right before initially putting the new engine in? or did you guys wait till after the engine was put in? i think it would be easier to reach all the connectors on the bottom if you had it halway wired up already before installing the engine (but i wouldn't know, i've never done an sr swap before)

It wasnt on mine, it was on my friends SR. We basically followed what the lil FAQ said on the SRswap.com site said. As easy as that really. We spliced/lengthend all the necessary wires together, then wrapped them and hooked them up. It took us...a good 5-6 hours. It was our first real time doing wiring.
