YEAH THE RB20 IS MORE LIKE:

GET CLIP
SWAP R32 TACH INTO S13 GAUGE CLUSTER
SWAP KA TRANNY SENSORS ONTO THE RB TRANNY
SWAP KA TEMP SENSOR ONTO RB MOTOR
SPLICE 10 WIRES (FOR COMPLETE WORKING CLUSTER)
ADD ELECTRIC FANS
CUT HOOD SKELETON (A-FRAME)
ROTATE STEERING RACK FORWARD TO CLEAR DUMPPIPE
STOCK DS WORKS
TRANNY GOES RIGHT IN

I'm not about to drop $4000-5000 on an engine swap until I'm sure I have decided whether or not to go SR or RB, so keep wackin' it. I'm sure you do it a lot LOL

Add electric fans - meaning I'd have to buy those seperate... I'm still not a fan of the whole "hood cutting" thing (if I had a C/F hood no way would I hack it up)... And I have an S14, not S13.

Wait a sec... the RB20's being referenced in this thread MUST come from an R32? Or can it be from another Skyline? R32's were made from 89-94... which would mean putting a 10 year old engine into my 9 year old car LOL

RB20DETS ONLY CAME IN R32'S WHEN THEY WERE PUT IN SKYLINES. YOU WILL AHVE TO BUY ELECTRIC FANS FOR ANY OF THE RB SWAPS.... OR YOU CAN USE 2 OF THE A/C AUXILLARY FANS.

Is the method where you run two parallel harnesses?
Urm...does the R32 tach have the same sweep as the S13 tach, and finally how would one go about running the Skyline cluster?

Is that safe?

Heh sorry... my KA is dying, and I like the idea of having a turbocharged factory engine... If it seems like I'm anti RB from my previous posts, then think what you want. The idea of having an engine from Nissans "god car" (Skyline, duh!) if something I'd look forward too... but not if it's going to be more of a hassle than an SR.

I used the ka lower harness and spliced the rb starter and alternator plugs onto it. I then swapped the ka sensors into the transmission.

Rotating the rack forward just allows alittle more clearance.... its safe enough to me and I've had my cars sideways and taking hard turns no problems what-so-ever.

The rb20 tach is a bit different in design so if your a order freak this isn't for you. As for running the skyline cluster I honestly don't know because I have never done it.

I know the whole Skyline cluster won't fit the S13 or S14 dash, but would anyone know if the RB tach will fit inside the stock S14 cluster? I can't seem to find pics of the tach.

BTW PROJECTRB, I'm not busting your ***** in this thread man... all your posts have been really helpful

I'd like to know that too, if the tach can be adapted or maybe the stock face used with the R32 tach mechanism and needle? I mean with a little dremeling, super glue, and some small screws should be able to put something together....

What model years are you talking? I tried to look for some info but the closest thing I found was an Escort Cosworth with a "twin"-core intercooler most of the ones I saw info on (from way back to the 80's) were pretty much all single turbo

the skyline cluster does fit in the s13 and s14... the r33 fits almost perfectly in the s14, its just the mounting locations aren't the same...

It's like when people mistook "twin entry turbo" for "twin turbo"

Ain't illiteracy great?
