Is that just motor weight or motor and tranny? Did that include all intake manifolds/exhaust manifolds/turbo? Give me some serious weights here so that I can get it listed on my website...I'll be weighing a RB25DET too very quickly.

IT WAS THE MOTOR WITH EVERYTHING ON IT AND TRANNY HOOKED UP COMPARED TO THE KA24E WITH EVERYTHING ON IT AND THE TRANNY ATTACHED. THE TWO TOTAL ASSEMBLIES WERE ONLY 65LBS DIFFERENCE. SINCE THEN I HAVE TAKEN OFF THE A/C COMPRESSOR WHICH WAS LIKE 15LBS AND REMOVED THE ENTIRE A/C SYSTEM FROM THE CAR WHICH SHOULD HAVE COUNTERACTED MOST OF THE WEIGHT. IT IS SAID THAT THE KA24E IS 30-45LBS LIGHTER THAN THE KA24DE SO THAT PUTS THE RB20DET INLINE WITH THE KA24DE AS FAR AS WEIGHT GOES.

Night . . . are your RB20DET motorsets fairly complete? i'm sure they don't include an intercooler, but is the maf and ignitor and everything like that included? what else would i need to buy to complete the swap if i got a motorset from you? i'm asking because i am trying to buy the swap itself for as cheaply as possible so i can spend more money on getting a nice front mount and a bov, new radiator and thermostat, and all the other misc. stuff that i'm sure the swap will require. do your mount kits have any kind of warranty on them . . . just in case they break or something?

by the way, have any of you bought one these intercoolers on ebay . . . http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2462525613 . . . they seem to be pretty nice, and they are spearco, but i'm just making sure no one has had a bad experience with them.

thanks!

Most motorsets I get are really complete (with IC and piping etc...but those sell for more)...any other motorset would have the ignitor and MAF as well. All mounts kits come with the warranty vs breaking. They are manufactured to Nissan spec (uppers) and the lowers are re-inforced with arches and bends...

hey, so when you are looking for aftermarket clutches for the rb20, you should be looking at the ones that are sold for the 300zx na, right?

Z32, or 90-96 300zx, non turbo works with the rb20 and rb25. I have heard that the turbo throw out bearing has to be used, but Im not sure. Ill tell ya in a week. Oh ya, I also found out that the SR20DET main studs are the same length and size as head studs for the RB20, so if you are looking for head studs, ARP stocks the sr20 stuff, part #202-5402. The kit has only ten, so you will need 4 extra aside from the kit.

well . . . i think that i am fairly set on getting the rb20. it just seems more logical because you are paying less but getting an engine with 2 more cylinders and a lot more potential than the sr20. i don't know . . . it just sucks that there isn't as much aftermarket support for the rb20. i wish there were companies who made intake and exhaust manifolds for it. but after watching this one video of an rb20-powered s13 drifting . . . ******* that engine sounds so badass!

so do any companies make like a tubular exhaust manifold for the rb25det? that was the thing i liked about the sr20 . . . hks and jic both made badass exhaust manifolds for it. a better exhaust mani. is supposed to help spool the turbo faster, right? is it worth upgrading it?
