Exclamation Upgradeed parts on a sr20det?

Ok. Iam new to this site, but i am not new to building cars. I have rebuilt quite a few cars rangeing from old classics to hondas, but i must addmit that this will be my first sr20det and i was looking for some insight and help. I usually stick to N/A style motors due to my V8 back ground. I am a car and vehicle enthusiest, so please dont give me any slack about import this and american that. I have and race an abomination that kicks ***, which is an FC (rx7) with a 400 cubic inch V8 dropped in. Straight drag only. Why stick to logic, like i always say - " Some people see things and say why? I look at everything and say ......why not? " THE MOTTO OF A TRUE GEAR HEAD.

I am currently building an S13 JDM and rebuilding an SR20det to drop in. my question is if i up grade the throttle body to a 90mm ( from a vq engine) i know i have to upgrade the intake manifold, but what about the FMIC piping? If i left it at a 3inch piping would that be sufficent enough or would i lose compression? Would i get a bottle neck effect where i would basically sufficating the engine, which would loose plenty of horse power, or would it be fine? would this effect the turbo ?

The FMIC has been upgraded already to a 3 / 12.5 / 23.5 bar and plate. Fuel rail and injectors done as well as fuel pump. If i need to upgrade, does anybody know of a reliable shop, online store or race facility that will i will be able to get parts? I have researched this and have run into a blank wall with no info.

Thanks for any help you give.

So, if i run the stock turbo, which is good up to about 12 psi stay with a 2.25 / 2.5 piping. If i up grade the turbo then 3? I see what you mean.

what about the 90mm throttle body? not really going to effect it with the 2.5 piping?

So, it will cause lag, looks like im staying with the 2.5in piping...............thanks for the input.

Whats your take on the exhaust? I have installed a divorce dump pipe already and was thinking of Tanabe or GReddy titanium catback racing exhaust (80mm). Not much of an addition to whp, but a nice throatie sound. I hate the high pitch exhaust sounds you hear ripping down the streets. You know, like they pounched holes in the muffler and it sounds like there going 100mph but there doing 5miles an hour. ( always seems to be a cheap honda. l.o.l)
