Hi.
I was wondering if anyone bought an engine from these guys. I want an rb25det swap and I've been aiming at night7racing for the motor. But Venus Auto Parts is a 15min drive, they sell the motor for 2700 and no shipping cost but I was wondering if their engines are any good. Besides mialage what should I look for when buying an rb25det? I'm planning on getting an install kit, would I still need the crossmember from the front clip w/ an install kit?

If you can drive and inspect the motor yourself...make sure it all tests right and that everything is included...you've got yourself an engine. If they won't test the engine in front of you or let you inspect it etc... I wouldn't trust it.

 

it has been dicussed to death, and frankly i can probably only remember 1 or 2 times when someone got an ok motor... most of what you hear about them is bad news...

 

id go for it if you can pick it up. I got my SR over there and i picked it up. The beauty of it is that if something goes wrong...you can just drive 15mins to return it. Sam and Ron is pretty cool bout returns. Also if something in your clip doesnt work *alternator, water pump...etc* more than likely they'll give you a replacement since your a local.
