This engine is great, and the more I look about it the more I like it. With that power potential it shouldbe great in a more lighter car than the 240sx. Of course the car must remain RWD to make it fun, otherwise it would not be as good.

I'm new to this world of nissan, but im happy I came across it. Have you ever thought about putting this engine into another? Car which car could accept this engine without much mods?

By the way how much does the average 240sx (s14) weight?

Thanks!!

Glad your starting to like the SR more and more but I cant think of a lighter car that the SR would be put in..but the curb weight of a S14 is 2753 lbs. You can do a lil weight reduction, take out the rear seats..the carpeting..some of the panels inside and u can save urself some pounds. Get a fiberglass hood..lighterweight parts.

Datsun 510! Those things weigh like 2,000-2,100 lbs. I want to buy my uncle's for $500 but it needs too much work. No, I should say it needs a full restoration.

They are expensive as all hell to restore too James, but well worth it if you have the space for another vehicle and the time and money to invest.

You can also look into Frontier Pick-ups(the older version), they can support the SR, and pretty damn light with nothing in them too. The older 200SX's sold here in the US can handle the SR, but are heavy in comparison to the 240SX.

My friend up here has the SR20 in the RX-7 and just ran a dyno at 476rwhp. Check out the link to the site. Pretty impressive. A couple of weeks ago, he spanked a WS6 with the head and cam package.

chris has a fc turbo II not a fd.

the sr can go into a 510 easily mckinny has a cross member that bolts in.

also a ae86 is great for it.

there is a black ae86 by ARMS that has a sr with 450PS.

and weighs like 1950Lbs.....

i was going to put a ca18det in a haichi but things didn't work out money wise.
