1992 front bumper interchangable with 1989?

Can you swap a front bumper cover from a 1992 onto a 1989? And how hard is it to swap the KA24DE into an 89? I'm just asking bc I've been offered a 1989 240sx for $500, it has a blown motor but everything else on it is fine. I just want to know the differences between a 1989 SE and a 1992 base model. Can you guys help me out?

In 1989 all fastbacks were SE's. There were only two designations, SE's for fastbacks and XE's for coupes. The front bumper is interchangable, you need the bumper and the side fender extensions to make it look good. The swap is fairly easy as well. I believe there is a write up somewhere on here or it might be on another forum.

It will look just like a '91+ 240, you can usually get the parts pretty cheap off of someone who does a conversion. I've seen bumpers for $20 before near me. Brand new though I'd imagine the bumper is a little much
