well i was bored and decided to calculate the money spent on mods so far , and all the future mods i hope to do. calculated how much i spent for the car(2100) plus minor mods done so far and future mods such as lsd..sound system..suspension..etc...then i went ahead and calculated the amount going to be spent for motor swap for a clip plus the labor charges for install and the upgrades for wahtever motor i put in sr or rb...came up with the grand total 9,900..almost 10g's..better be money well spent if i decide to go with the project puttin down serious g's on 2,000 dollar car....

When you think about it, it does seem like some serious money, but you gotta live by the credo "You gotta pay to play". A lot of people build their 240s up for drifting, but since the drifting scene is all but dead here, I just want a fast, reliable, good handling rear wheel drive, and a 240 occurs to me as being a darn good base. Not to mention, 180sx taillights are sexay.

It depends on the price of the car as to what my project will cost... but these are the parts I want.

Silk Road Section coilovers - 1500
SR20DET swap - 4000
5-lug conversion with brake upgrade
5Zigen FN01R-C wheels in staggered offset - 1200 with tires
Blitz Nur Spec exhaust - 500
Might pick up a Pilot sleepy eye controller too cause it's sexay.

All my bodywork will take a backseat to performance this time. If I do anything, all it will be is a basic Chargespeed kit and 180SX tail lights.

 

i got a $35,000 list of parts i want and still adding

 

ive spent about 3000 on parts for my rb swap and i havent even started it...2000 for hte motor and shell....and then another 2500 for paint afterwards....

in total when i think im completely done with the car...ill spend like 16k on it...

oh but i got a s13....and doing a rb20 which is cheaper then a sr20.....

 

A lot of people I know have all ready put well over 7k in it. And some 10K+. I have only put around 800 in mods.

 

i ve put like 1600.. for a decent lookin bodykit, decent suspension and sound effects (Int/Exs)

 

not counting audio, i've put in a whopping $40.00 - air intake.

i think my AEM license plate frame adds some HP too
