Exclamation 4000RPM power loss! Need Advice.

Hey guys, My buddy has an 89' S13 240sx and we get a complete power loss in 4th and 5th gear between 3500-4000RPM. Like he'll be driving on the freeway and when the car hit 3500-4000 the power is gone and the rpms start to drop slowly as if he was not pushing on the gas anymore but it only does this in 4th and 5th gear. How are we suppose to wangan when he can't go faster the 85mph?

not sure why thats happening ... should cut out at 5k.

Pull the 4th and 5th gear sensors out of the tranny ... do a search for "top speed" (on these forums) there is a guide on how to un-plug them enabling top speeds.

Advice: Upgrade suspension and brakes first .. PLEASE

power loss

Check your mass airflow meter. Do you have any problems starting your car? Sounds like its fuel related.
