95 intake on a 90?

95 intake on a 90?

Would an intake off of a 95 240sx fit on a single cam 1990? cause a friend of mine is selling an intake from his 95 and I want to make sure it will fit/be able to fit before i purchase it any info will be appreciated, I looked in the faq and tried a search and couldnt find anything so if this is a repost my bad.

Nope, less you can jimmy rig a bunch of stuff...I've done it, but the car didn't Idle well.

It will not fit, the throttle body on the SOHC's sits further back towards the firewall than on the DOHC, so unless you welded and extension and bent it a bit it will not fit.

We had to use an extension made with some flex tubing (rubber) and do some other stuff...it fit, just not that great and it didn't run right afterwards....

alright well thanks I guess I might just have to find a different one which kinda sucks cause he wasnt asking much for it but oh well theres always ebay.

from what i'm told you're better off adding in a k&n to the end of the intake than get one of those ebay intakes.

Keep searching, you'll find a cheap used one like I did, saved me a lot of $$.

yea i was even thinkin bout tryin to take off the airbox and just puttin a filter on therre some how if this intake tactic doesnt work, after dumping all of our money into the crx for now i'm tryin to stay cheap as possible and already got an extra filter layin around so good idea

what year crx do you own and what have you done to it? I recently picked one up as a winter car, so far have only done bondo and a tune-up to it, just curious how you like it compared to the 240sx.

get the intake adaper off ebay for like $15 shipped, then add a 3" k&n or other aftermarket air filter, my suggestion. Almost as much hp as a full intake.
