AutoMeter 5" Monster Tach

Hey everyone i just got an AutoMeter 5" Monster Tach and it has instuctions on how install it but i was wondering if anyone here had a detailed explanation on how to install it in a '89 240sx or if anyone has a link to another site that has it. Any info is good.

The instructions should tell you which wires go to which. It's not that hard of an install - 12v, ground are easy to find behind the OEM gauge cluster... tach signal - you can run it to the back of the gauge cluster, or do it the right way and run it off either the ECU wire or the coil under the hood

get a msd 6al ignition and blaster coil and run the shiet off that

That makes sense - spend another $300 to get a tach working

one word of warning and for good reason dont run the tach off the port on the msd ignition box... it has a funny tach signal designed to work with plug in modules... read the instructions... i know people who were okay doin it but then again i know some people who have had tach jump problems...
