In a horrible attempt to split the thread and being that my PC sucks the threads that were going to be split have been lost, sorry about that...

Well there are things that will help conserve gas like driving like grandma.

About the bush statement "STFU noobie, Bush rocks"

Someone told me you should never let a gas tank get below half a tank, is there any truth behind that?

Actually one way to realy save gas is to drive "constantly. Meaning that if you drive normal and you see the light go red, you stop from 60 to like 35, and remain at that speed. that way the light changes, and when it does, you are all ready there, but are going 35mph faster than those at the light so you need less energy to get back to 60 than the people who start at 0. also, O2 sensors are good. don't warm up the car for more than 40 sec on warm, hot time; or 1:45 or cold freezing temperatures. any more than that would waste gass.if you need to use the A/C, put it in the "hottest" position you can handle, all the way on the blue side generally gets the compresor workign harder than it needs to b/c there's a temperature control that limits it, so put it where its cold enough to cool you, but nothign else. If you drive alone ,close the other side vents and direct air to you, lower the fan velocity. That way, less air is cooled, less work for the compresor. I get 28mpg on my s13 93 and it never fluctuates. And if you wana know you milagem measure the gallons you put in and the miles, don say "20$ will get me for the week" cuz that statement cannot be more random. and hot air in the car is free.

well the reasoning is that pump gas has deposits. when the gas settles all the deposits sink to the bottom and its easier for the fuel line to catch the deposits when its close to empty. but thats why we have fuel filters and those arent hard to change at all unlike other cars i know of...

yeah the filter in the gas tank should take care of it, then it goes to the line filter in the engine bay. And if it passes that, the shame on you for no changin it, it goes to the fuel injectors and it can get stuck there 4 life and you can loose the injector. I've seen it happend. My friend had a 94 maxima and his fuel pump sucked the filter trough, ate it, then sent parts of it troguh the line and he lost 2 injectors..... but thats worst case scenario.
