95, a.k.a. Zenki. (no OBD II) You want an SE model w/LSD and 5 lugs. Also check out Ghettostamp's thread:

thanks for the imput

question though.. whats the engine name in the 95 se KA??? something

and do some 93 down models have the same engine

anyone have an opinion on which is a better generation
93 down or 95 up 94 seams odd when i look for performance parts as in not many ???

earlier models have a SOHC, i think it was 89-91 I want to to say but i always forget the year. Anything after that came with DOHC which is better, the 95 engine code and all dual over head cams is the KA24de.

The reason you don't see any performance parts for the 94 is because it was strictly sold as a convertable with an auto tranny. Which is just, well...very stinky. vert's have a loss in rigidity and the auto tranny, well....

There is also a 97 and up which is the kouki and looks the same as the 95 (zenki) except for the agressive projector headlights, but again personal preferance, me thinks it looks a bit flat-nosed. Same engine.

Depending on your cash flow get whatever you can afford, you won't be disappointed, anything 91 and up gets my vote.

89-90= SOHC KA24E
91-98= DOHC KA24DE
96 and up are OBDII
The 94 model is all automatic convertible 240's
