better shocks/struts ?
better shocks/struts ?
Tokico's or kyb gr2's and why !? i found a really sick deal for them installed at a local shop with sportlines and gr2's...... but i wanna know which are better to have ...
WeLL gr-2 are not for lowered cars, and die very quickly when applied to lowered cars. Then you might as well keep what you have.
AGX=Adjustable Shock dampening thus you can make it harder or softer and also are made for lowered vehicles and will then make it last longer.
Tokico's are another good alternative, and you can also check out the thread on OBX coilovers for additional information.

from what i know: GR2 > Tokico Blues
FWIW: I've been running GR2's on Sportlines for a while now and haven't had problems. Haven't had them on for more than 20k miles or so, though. Oddly enough, I blew out Koni Yellows faster than the GR2's.
Best bet would probably be short stroke struts/shocks like GAB SS's.

If you stick with your auto you should go with the GR2/Sportlines like ACE suggested. I know you say you race occasionally but I know what you do and they would satisfy your needs. I always harp that you should get Coils but I know where you stand right now and these seem to make the best sense for you.
If you sell the auto and get a manual then you will be in a different boat. You will have to address any problems that the manual might have and shocks might not be on the top of your list. I can see you doing a little more racing in the manual then the auto. I can see you doing a couple AutoXs when I finally finish my car and we all roll out there. If you get a manual and want to set it up then move to Coils.
I want to keep things in your ballpark.
Just my 2 Cents.
well sounds good.... well im gonna stick with the auto now... the guy says he didnt want to buy it cause he found a s14 for 6500.... but ill see .... i dont mind having an auto... its not that bad... and im still a newbie driver.... i think i can handle having an auto for another year...
