Talking Bought another 240 tonight...second in two weeks!

I bought the 91 240sx that i had talked about earlier with the broken sunroof.

I bought it for $400!

And come to find out...it's not even a pwr sunroof. It is a popup sunroof. He said it was a factory sunroof but I'm not sure. It is rather large though for a pop-up sunroof.

Overall the body is in pretty good condition.

there is a Rear Hood Hinge that is broken, but all the lights work, all the dash lights work.

The interior is pretty bad also.

Oh yea....the speedo doesn't work all the time. It will work and then it will stop and fall back down to ZERO, then after alittle while longer it will start working again.

I'm taking it to get inspected tomorrow.

After that i will be keeping which ever is better.

I orignially bought this one to repair my other one...but this has the DOHC engine in it and the body is in better condition then my other one that I paid $1500 for.

I try and post pics tomorrow.

Yea it runs pretty good.

Just went and had it inspected and here are the results...

Motor Mounts are "old" not busted
Rack and Pinion needs replaced
Drivers side Outer Tie Rod
Sway Bar Bushings
Drag Link bushing
Rear Tires
Drivers Side seat is ripped down to metal
Hood Hinge

Now I have the 89 240 that I can take the wheels off of and the drivers seat.

But the other stuff I don't really want to take off the 89 because I want to sell that one.

How much is all that gonna run me...I'm calling around now.

Also there are oil leaks and pwr steering leak.

Do you still think it was a good buy??

Nismo Motor Mounts -280 about
Outer Tire Rod 25-40 For the Part
Sway Bar Bushings 40 front, 40 rear for everything
Rear Tires 100
Seat would swap
Oil Leaks I would be careful with-I had to pay 1500 to fix an oil leak on my old DOHC

Of course it was a good buy. Shoot you could strip it down and make money on the damn thing.

Just continue to piece the two together to get one good car.

Almost sounds like the car is turning into a project car.

Good job on the find.

Yeah why do the job twice. It will be easier when the engine is being dropped in. Just purchase the mounts now so you will not have to run around later.

Man I am scared for my wife. I think I will have a small dealership when we get the house.
