Mostly Pulsar's. But it was also dropped into the earlier Silvias, b4 the SR came along. The CA was more expensive to produce I believe, and that was why Nissan dropped it. But yes the CA is badass.

yup cause they were to much b/c cause of the 8 lobes plus there top fed fuel injected instead of side like the SR

Don't forget CA's had oil squirters to cool the pistons.

SR's have sodium filled valves. but really dont like to rev for a living

how's the CA's torque? that tiny displacement worries me. i like to make at least a little low end power. duz anyone have dyno charts of the stock engines. i can't find any.

sodium is a light weight(so to speak) gas. the valves are hollow.
less unsprung weight on the valvetrain.

From the dyno's I've seen it's mostly all high end. Many of the European S13 200sx tuners say there's practically nothing low down but as the revs get higher you get get thrown back in the seat harder and harder. The SR's much more torqy and as rev happy as you'd ever need that's why I prefer it over the CA.

i've decided on the sr20 for myself. Its growing in popularity so parts are going to be easier to find. Pretty cheap to.

the SR is popular which is why the price for a change over has almost doubled in one year. they are far from the price they used to be.
when i first started doin the math on the SR about a year ago i could of picked up a s14 motor set from Soko for $2500
and S13 complete sets from K.Wantanabe for 1300.
look at the price now.
just like honda swaps they are more and more popular and more and more expensive.

a year ago an S15 SR set was goin for 4500
finding parts arent the problem, it's the prices the importers are gona rape you for because they know you NEED to have em.

4500... now what is it, close to 6000 for a complete swap... harsh is an understatement. what is a lash killer kit for on the SR20's? JUN makes them and so does Tomei.

21/2 to 3K for and S14?? Hell yes thats a good price. HT will charge you 4K or more depending on the mileage.

And as for the CA and its torque, a member from the NICO BB, has the CA in his S13. Maybe some of you know about him, he likened the CA's boost response as being like an explosion of power once he reached full boost. Whereas the SR's torque and power comes on much more smoothly, and linear.
