Why not just buy an RB25 and put a RB26 head on it?

the rb25 will crack *** in an S13 chassis and is through out the country.
the biggest mod i'll have to make is a metal headgasket and boost controller.
why wouldn't i know how to get the GTR motor into an S13. i didn't mention the single turbo conversion. thats pretty much common sense to guys who know.
i thought u were still talking about the RB25 when you started talking about the single turbo conversion. i missed the "GTR motor" part. my bad.

i like the ka engines but when it come down to it , it just doesn't have enough *** to match the handling capabilities of the car. a rb series engine swap for me is totally out of the question, too bloody expensive, i know how the prices range on sr's but what about the ca's how much do they range, tryin to be different, i have an 89 coupe i love it and i love how most highschoolpunkhondaboys dont even know what it is. and i honestly have to say in my opinion i dig my front end with an aftermarket bumper more than the silvia conversion, but still i want something different and its looking like a ca18det might be a good choice

would that even be worth it? you could just port the RB25 head. would the performance gains be worth it to switch from a ported RB25 head to an RB26 head?

I was just saying instead of the RB26 single turbo blah blah blah. But I wonder... Do you think it's be cheaper to just slap on a RB26 head rather than port a RB25?

i got a book, it shows you how to do it yourself w/ a hand grinder and w/o a flowbench. its hard to know exactly where to port w/o a flowbench but you can guestimate. (but i wouldn't do mine w/o a flowbench)

if you didn't port it yourself, i have no idea which would be cheaper. can you even buy RB26 heads?

yeah but i see what you're sayin.

k heres another question on the ca, will it bolt up to a ka automatic tranny, i know the sr's don't , i'd need a automatic . i know i could do a 5speed changeover but that just seems a bit much. im not looking to have a race car , just somethin that can hold its own and have respectible amount of power
