i have a question (as always) but i have a cold air intake in my 240 and the middle hose that goes on it is missing and i have no idea where it goes, also i notice that when i race, and i lift my hood and i can see steam or hot air coming out of where that hose fell of my intake. does any body know where it goes? thanks

 

i think it goes to the head. cause when i bought my s14 it came with an aftermarket intake and theres a hose in the middle of the intake pipe like you said, and it goes right to the head (valve cover).

 

no its not that one, i wish it was though it would be alot easier.

 

If it's the one RIGHT by where the stock airbox was (which I think is what you're talking about) it's the AIV hose. It's emmissions related and if you want max performance (all the little free mods and shiz) then leave it off but cap the bung on the intake hose.

no this hose doesnt connect to the valve cover, that one is still on, its another one that i have no clue where it goes, if i can just plug it and my car will run fine, i'll just do that

is it the little hose, or is the 1/2 inch heater hose stuff?...... when i put my intake on my 1/2 inch broke and i had to get a new one..... anyway that goes to a little male end that points up at an angle and its right next to where the intake meets up with the manifold

edit: by the way lonnie, why is the 2 and 3 pointing to the same side?..... there are only 3 ends that come off the intake, and one of them comes off the other side???..... whatever im tired and cant think straight

edit 2: and totally off the subject..... i get my wheels monday i cant wait...... and lonnie you should take a pic of my car so i can put it on my sig ( my uncle still has our digital camera..... going on about 6 months now )

 

2 and 3 are on the same side for my car.. because, well it's an s13...
