Cost of Paint

I have a dent, and i dont want there to be a dent. Im gonna pound it out and bondo it myself, but instead of painting the whole car with rustoleum (which I think will be a huge job) I want to get it color matched to the car. Im gonna go get an estimate but just for ****s and giggles whats the cheapest you guys think I could get this sprayed for. I also have to get a fender sprayed to match.

that dosent look too bad to fix but Im assuming a body shop would charge you a decent chunk of dough for that.

Even just to paint? I got a quote of $700 just to get it pounded out, no paint, so I said screw that. Is paint usually more money than the body work itself?

Yeah theres room to pound. I did it myself. My dent wasnt as ugly, but twice as deep in the same spot. Paint is expensive and spraying a car (even with cans) isnt too difficult.

duplicolor is nice. it wont be perfect, but neither will the shops attempt to color match it.

if anything, just get the whole car repainted in the future.

or if you have time look into the rustoleum roll on paint. my friend did his FC and i must admit it looks hot.

lol "kitty hair?"
I was gonna do the rustoleum job but I thouhgt that it would be really hard, unless maybe I go with the closest color they have to that red. I wanted to go with "Sail Blue" but the time it would take to get all the sills, under the hatch, under the hood, etc. must be ungodly.

Hey phantom, how in gods name did you get behind that metal sheet in the hatch? I cant get enough 'swing' on the hammer to get it out.

lol @ jons comment

well depending on where you take it, most shops will say from $250 and higher for just that spot.
