oil level light is on and off in the dash!!

I checked my oil level and it is at high so the light should not be on. When engine is just started, the light is not on however, when I drive it around, the light will come on and might go out sometimes when I hit bumps but comes back again. I checked the oil pan and it is straight and no dents.

Couple of things that I can think of are: Bad oil pressure pump, bad oil pressure sensor next to oil filter.

What do you guys all think??

I believe he thought you were talking about the brake light in your dash. I would check the sensor and wiring since it seems to happen when something jars the car.

heres your picture

what happens is the plunger gets loose over the years and it hits the other contact point. you just have to bend it back a bit.

also check you brake fluid level just to be careful.

but im sure it is the e brake sensor
