Damn fuel gauge...

Ok, so I took the "el glow" overlays off of my cluster. No big deal, was easy. Popped off the needles and pulled off the overlays.

All of my gauges are working fine, except my fuel gage. It reads 3/4 of a tank and doesnt move. My fuel dummy light pops on, so I know there is less than 3/4 of a tank of gas in there.

So a couple of questions... Did I break the gauge? At what point does the dummy light come on in the car? 1/4? 1/8? 1/16?

When it is on constantly you have one gallon of gas left IIRC.

If the needle doesn't move, you might have broke it bro. Those things are sensitive and if you don't pull the needles off carefully (like when putting glow stuffs on) you could damage them.

Sell you glow stuffs to Jake I think he's looking for that 1998 action LOL

argh!!

Well, tuesday I'll pull out my cluster and swap out the entire fuel gauge setup in the cluster for another one (have another cluster), to see if it works. Granted I might have the same problem still, due to the same issue with the parts car cluster.

Yes, they are 18's. No it doesn't need to be lowered. I don't want it slammed. The rear end needs to be dropped about 1.5" thats it. And I don't even want to do any of that till I find a set of wheels for the car that I want on there.
