electric fan advise

Im just curious as to which model year altima to take the electric fans from. I have my motor n engine bay torn apart anyway, so id like to put in these fans n just have them come on when I turn the key. I've seen a few write ups but nothing is mentioned. Any advise is appreciated. Thanks guys.

i don't hava definite answer because there really isn't one. altima fans are a popular choice because they fit right on the 240 radiator core, are fairly cheap, slim and so forth. ford torus and pontiac fiero fans are two other fans that are popular for some of the same reasons. i welded two ac condenser fans together and used that.

just get a fan that is slim enough to fit and big enough to push or pull a sufficient amount of cfm. also it would be in your best interest if you used a temp switch to control the fans instead of having them on all the time. if you haven't seen this already you should read it.

the temp gauge is most likley either air in the coolant system, bad stat or a faultily temp sending unit.
