Engine or suspension?

Ok i am so lost right now..I just bought a 90 fastback 240 5spd with 180k on the stock ka24e engine...Ok now i want to set this car up for drift but i dont know if i should go ahead and get a new engine first or the suspension...I know suspension is more of what i need but i dont want to use all my money on suspension and have my engien blow right afterwards..So i would just like some oppinions on what to do. (the engine seems ok right now..no high rpms at low speeds or anything)

personally, I would go with suspension first. Drift is all about weight transfer. It would help to have more power but then you dont have the suspension for what you want to do.

I agree, get suspensions. For the high milage engine itself, I'd do minor tune ups while ur waiting. Keep that engine in the best condition u can without spending too much $ on fixing it up. Being **** will help.

buy suspension, cause one way or another, your gonna be needing them anyway, so why not get them now, adjust it the way you like, and then get a swap, till you get that swap, just take it easy with the engine, patience is virtue after all, plus alot of people usually drive there engine till it blows, usually by that time you get enough cash to swap it...well thats my thought process anyway haha

if its a daily driver, engine first might be better. if its just for drifting and racing go with suspension first.

keep it running better. if its a dily driver keep the engine tuned up or get another one (ka,sr,rb or whatever ur choice). if you drift too much in the daily driver and dont keep it in good condition your asking it to bite you in the wallet.

I agree with everyone here lol. Suspension first. 180k miles isnt to much anyways. I dont know how much you drive but if its not alot then dont worry about the engine. By the time you have over 200k miles or so you'd probaly already have saved up depending on your income

suspension first haha i feel like i'm repeating everyone but its just to get in in your head... and hell you can swap for another stock ka24de and turbo it... its a little cheaper to start off so it'll save ya money but if you want the big turbo and the more power thats where the money comes in... but all in all suspension first
