Exhaust leak, how to fix it?

I had an exhaust leak where the cat and pipe meet. not the headers but the actual exhaust pipe. so i replaced the gasket tightened it back together and started my car. now it's a little bit smaller leak but i want to get it stopped completly. My shop teacher told me to use some kind of high heat 1200 degree silicone, but i cant find it anywhere. Anyone have any ideas or places to get it?
