exhaust leak

I have an exhaust leak from what sounds like my the header into the cat pipe connection. Is there a gasket that is supposed to go in there or just tighten it down as much as possible?

Thanks

It might be the stupid solid mount that broke. It's right there where the cat and downpipe meet - a piece of metal that bolts to the chassis. it's somewhat common on S14's... at least all the ones I've come across that developed a leak.

Go to a muffler shop and see if they see some crack near the mount. If so, they should be able to weld it shut in seconds, and it shouldn't cost you more than $5.

werd... BTW you can just unbolt the bracket I was talking about and throw it away... then you won't have to worry about that cracking I was referring to
