Good deal or no?

I found a 1990 240sx fastback right now i have an altima that i will never get rid of but i was thinking of picking up this 240 the guys asking 550 but im sure i could get it down to at least 450 the paint is all faded solid body little surface rust trans is goin on it doesnt want to go into 3rd ,valve cover leak, and a few other little things that could be fixed easily 120,000 miles should i pick it up or no let me know what you guys think

i'd go for it, needs a new valve cover gasket, the tranny fluid topped off, or merely replaced, bondo that bad boy and primer her, then she's set! for $500 you can't beat that deal. Project car baby. Most people pay way more than that for a shell.

thanks man for the input thats how im thinking too its not hard to replace the trans is it looks pretty easy but ive never done it before

yeah that is good deal...$500..thats like 2 paycheck..if you have a job. 120,000 thats not bad...for 90 cause i seen 98 240 with that much of miles on it..

do you think theres a good chance the trans fluid is just low or most likely screwed up trans ive tried searching and found nothing that really helps thanks

man thats the same price as my leather jacket!

think of it this way would you rather have a leather jacket or a car

although i do need a leather jacket lol i bought the car tuesday cant wait to get things going with it any suggestions on what i should do first after i fix everything??

The only thing that might make me raise an eyebrow is the rust part... and a $550 leather jacket. If the rust isn't that bad (i.e. not on any important seams, etc.) then GG go for it
