Headlight problems

I did a search for headlight issues and actually found another thread that discusses the issue I'm having. Take a look:

http://www.club240.com/forums/showth...adlight+wiring

Unfortunately, this thread didn't actually contain a solution other than a link to a different headlight issue (highbeam switch).

Here's the problem:
- passenger headlight doesn't turn on with lowbeam switch
- both lights of the passenger headlight do turn on when highbeam switch is on (there is a slight delay)

I should mention that these are the silvia headlights on a '90 S13. Also, I recently cleaned the engine bay near the headlight wiring and splashed water on the wires.

If the water damaged something, what would it be?

What else could it be?

I have the same problem with my s14 i just bought, i would suggest going and getting a multi meter to check if the wires lead is hot. I am going to check fuses also, if the wires not hot then you save allot of time, then you know its wiring. Multimeters are not exxpensive, only like 15 bucks and it helps ALLOT for future electician duties in your car!

Yes, that is a good idea. I really should have a multimeter!

Let me know if you figure out the problem.
