Help me please!
Alright, I got my RSM installed and the car was running fine. I went inside to change and came back outside and sat in my car, turned the key and all I got was a clicking noise. The battery is fully charged and we also tried another battery and it still did it. Well, come to find out the starter was bad. I buy another starter and now my car is really not working. I open the door and the dome light is on but very weak. If I let it sit for like 10-20 minutes then open the door the dome light is bright but and the accesory function works but once I move the key one more forward all the power goes out. We took the main power wire off the starter and it still does the same thing. Anyone know what it could be?
Bad ground for sure, I had the same problem with my 240. I pulled out the starter thinking it was bad and bought a new 1. Then found out that it was a bad ground when the new starter did the same thing. You should bench test your old starter to see if it is still good. Then put it back in and return the new 1 you bought. The ground wire that went bad on my car was the main ground off the batt (I relocated the batt to the trunk when I installed the sr).
