Help out a possible buyer!!

Someone in my neighborhood is selling a 1989 240sx coupe. I'm interested in buying it as my second car as I've always been a fan of the 240/silvia. When I go to look at the car, are there any specific problem areas that I should pay particular attention to or any questions I should be asking other than the usual? I wanna
make sure I'm not getting taken.

Once I'm done with the engine swap in my current car I hope to do the same here, but for now this is gonna be my daily driver. Any help or insight would be great!

make sure it runs, drive it and make sure the drivetrain is sound. check the body all around for any cancerous rust (dont know what part of the country you are in) and then look around it and make sure nothing has been butchered under the hood. see if you can get a history on the car thats reliable, and then get the VIN and try to find someone to run a carfax on it.

and then let us know what he wants for it. how many miles are on it. etc.

I'm gonna take it for a drive today. The guy wants $800 for it. It needs a new clutch and the paint is faded (not enough, but enough that I'm gonna repaint it regardless). I'll let you know how it runs and all....
