Did you check your fuses? If not, do so it may be the problem. Did you mess with the cars wiring before this happened at all?

First I'd definitely check the fuse, then check the wiring between the gauge cluster and where they run into the ECU or their place in the engine bay. Use a meter to see if you're getting 12 volt on the suspected wire. If the wiring is good, then check the harness. If the harness is good, then check the actual unit itself (the gauge cluster and other lights).

Check your dimmer switch too. Hopefully it's just a fuse. Electrical problems are a pain in the ***.

yeah check the dimmer switch, my freinds went out and every single dash light just stop workin. I dont think that would have anything to do with ur exaust tho.

well the exhaust sound just becomes louder when i turn the front defroster on with the heater on. and the fuses are all good. i think its the wiring. no i didnt mess with it. i just bought it and im still trying to contact the original owner. i just had my uncle check it since hes a auto mech. and he says maybe its the dimmer switch that got fried or the wiring around the stereo. which i think its is that. also my speakers arent working either so im thinking it really is the wiring. thanks for all that up there.

Thumbs up

I would like to suggest checking the alternator also, since it might be very easy to test. Have your uncle perform an alternator check by unplugging the battery while the car is running. I'm not quite sure how this works, maybe he does, as I haven't ever done this before.
