How much do you think this 95 240 is worth?

1995 240SX SE
Burgandy 240Sx
Manual transmission
Moonroof/tilt
150k

Flywheel needs to be replaced and thats about the only thing he said needed to be fixed.

He said he would consider $3000-2900.

Seems like quite a deal to me. Car is located bay area CA and I would need to drive ~3 hours to check it out. Even though I really like the headlights a lot more on the 97, if I can save a lot and buy a 95 I would be happy.

so tell me what you guys think.

Anyone from the bay area or stockton area that would like to take a look at it for me?

I'm not too sure yet. I have an MR2 that may be a project; it needs a radiator, headlamp, and bumper, and thats about it.

How hard is it to install a flywheel? I hope not too hard. I will hopefully try and get it look at. My buddy can do the compression test but what else should I look at?

Body rust, fluid/lubricant levels, exhaust smells normal , run it through all 5 gears to check for shudders and shakes, tires in decent shape, brakes work, cracked glass, make sure any power options work, belts not cracked, its not throwing ECU codes...anything else.....

look for signs of accidents, get a Carfax as well. Look for eveything you would in a typical car, burning oil, leaking any fluids, rust/dents, etc. S14's don't have much of a list of typical things that go wrong. If you're not 100% sure looking @ it yourself, spend the dough or find someone who knows what they are doing, make sure this isn't one of those too good to be true because it's a lemon cars.
