Hey guys, just to let you know not everything and everyone at APC is all about rice. Yes we do make items that not everyone likes, but the profit from items like led mufflers, m3 fenders, led washer nozzels and those types of products allow a couple of us to take APC into non mainstream markets....like Drifting. Even though Drifting has been getting a ton of press recently we had taken notice to this trend almost a fully year ago and this is still not the most profitable market. When APC launches it's new Drift Works line at the end of this year you willsee true RWD performance and style parts.

No you won't see an S15 with a B16, but I think when you see the cars that APC brings out this year specifically for Drifting you will be impressed.

By the way I do drive an S13 with KYB's, Tien's and is currently at GUDE getting the race head with cams and intake....so when you see some dude in a white S13 blow by you with a big APC sticker, just remember we are all not Ricers at APC.

At least he did not flip out and say crazy things. Also, if you guys can crank out quality parts then go on ahead, make that money and be damn happy. At least you would break the stereotype that everyone, including myself, put you in. I bet that if you guys do put out true perfomance rwd parts, that a few of these members might get some APC things.

 

You may own a nissan but your heart is with Honda still . We all drive nissans here, we dont NOT compare and TALK TRASH about each others cars unless rice drops in on us saying they will "blow us away". 2nd off we dont put BIG stickers on our cars no matter what they say. I saw a APC add on TV and they had this fat dorky guy talking about "apc performance", and EVERYTHING he listed was, COOL BLINKING CORNER LIGHTS, Cool spoilers.......what he needed to say was, EVERYTHING to make your car EVEN MORE UGLY! at a PRICE THATS RIGHT .

whoa, whoa whooooaaa! dayum evil98, is it like that? i'm thinking that u might be reading more into what superjoe said than what he meant. apparently, he's just trying to defend his company which is getting the living **** bashed out of it on these boards (and yeah, i contributed some ). if whay he's saying is true, then i can see where he's coming from. in the world of business, sometimes u gotta sell ur soul to get what u want. if non-performance enhancing 'performance parts' pays the bills so that they can branch out into something actually performance oriented, then more power to them. either way, chill w/the flaming. we don't need be doing that here. if ur not cool w/whatever, just say as much and let that be that. and as far as the 'blowing whomever away' comment, i'm sure it's more of a friendly challenge than straight up hatin.

superjoe -> hey, APC has it tough around here, if u haven't noticed. and so does anyone (or anything, for that matter) that remotely resembles rice. i hope u understand that and take it w/a grain of salt. basically, this should be a place where we can share and discuss stuff, compare, contrast, agree, or disagree. but i think we can all do w/o the antagonism. "can't we all just get along?"

 

Man people were just up here havin fun makin fun of APC and the blinkers and HIGH PERFORMANCE MUFFLERS DUDE! lol. And then he starts sayin that his s13 is gonna blow by us with a big ol sticker on his car...........what a waste of a car. I admit, what pays the bills pays the bill, ive been there. Doesnt mean you gotta be proud of it, lol. Also I hate flamin, but I hate flamers to =X WHOOPS. I just hate the rice man, to much of it, gives imports a bad name. Next thing we need is a bunch of APC products and stickers to give the 240 a bad name. Trash talkin from one nissan owner to the next is NOT what we do. 99 percent of honda is rice........all looks (if that is what you wanna call it) and no go. I know some honda guys who know there stuff, and have some nice tegs, s2000's and a nsx, they are tuned right and look stock and nice. APC is just straight up rice, its neons lights everywhere, like I said, cheap quality for a cheap price, you get what you pay for.

What exactly are the APC drift works products going to be? The guy made it seam like they would probably be things that actually affect perfomace...so are we looking at things like headers for the KA?..or like calipers and rotors or dampers maybe?

 

well the maturity level wasnt very busniess-like i hope APC makes an effort to bring some quality into their products, for this new "drift" line. honestly, what do u do at apc joe? aoc is a huge company, makin millions and losing some (they were charged with sales of illegel "clear" tail lights by the govt) and i wonder why u defend them like u own it? al i can say is i feel rice is what the U.S import scene is after u put our capitalism in it we are know for cheap parts basically hell, look at our domestic cars, obviously if we are all driving nissans, we feel the domestic counter part is not up to quality right? lets hope apc gets jdm companies to build and design their products, maybe it wouldnt be so bad after all?

Whao guys....no trying to post any "rice" comments and if you read my whole post I am not saying I will be blowing by you with "just a big sticker" I am having actual engine mods done to my car, so my point was don't think everytime you see an APC sticker it is just rice. Now you are right about 90% of the time it will be but there is that 10% out there. Plus it was not meant to hate on anyone, just trying to have some fun.

As for the APC hating, don't worry you cannot work at APC and not take it with a grain of salt. But for evilsilvia98 I have never owned a Honda...let alone a FWD car so don't put me in any catagory...oh and that "fat dorky guy" that is the owner of APC Brian Horowitz just yeah everyone has there own opion I just thought these boards would be a little more open minded compared to the Honda boards.

I do appreciate all the comments and maybe I will get to talk to you SoCal guys at a local meet sometime.

sorry joe but every forum that has americans in it will have hate, we like to hate things plus a larger percent of honda owners are grabing nissan 240s. obviously why apc is jumpin on the drift bandwagon right ?? evil makes a point, great that u work for apc and dont have steam rice but what on ur car would be from apc??? i hope u guys take care of the drift extreme crew and dont exploit their talent to sell some more neons, try to actually lear from them and design some parts that we can use and not turn on and bling tanabe would be a good example of a company they takes feedback and creates a good drift line of products.....all i can say is look out, i see the bandwagon turning into a train.......
