So, like I said in the title, I searched but couldn't really find anything about widened steelies? Whats the deal with this, how much would it cost to have done, or how would I go about doing it myself?

weld 2 together and cut the spokes off of one. you would need overfenders i would imagine. uless you welded 1/2 of a steelie onto a whole one so theres like a lip... eh?

well basically the look I'm tryin for would be a steelie, but have the "spokes" of the wheel set back in a deep dish style. So that there is like a 3" or so lip. And have the overall wheel be about 7-8" wide.

I was asking about this because I think a steelie, powder coated black, or even spray painted for all I car, that is wide so I can fit a bigger tire, and has the big lip because, well I just think that it looks really good. I like the look of steelies if used correctly.
