Intro/Fuel Economy Question
Intro/Fuel Economy Question
Yeah, I know there's a new member forum, but I can't be bothered to make two seperate posts...
First, the question: What have you guys done to improve the fuel economy of the 240? My fuel economy has been, uhh...less than stellar, let's say.
Second, the background: In mid-March I bought a 1993 240SX LE Fastback. 5 speed (of course), black on grey leather, fully loaded (power windows/sunroof/mirrors/locks/etc.), digital speedometer with the heads-up display, A/C, cruise, and everything else you could want (well, I've since swapped out the stock deck & aftermarket CD deck for an Alpine CDA-9813 MP3 deck, and added new front speakers w/tweeters, and tossed in an alarm (mostly for the keyless, of course)...). The car is in MINT condition, with (here's the kicker) only 56,000 km's on it (that's 35,000 miles for you Imperialists). Let's just say it was a damn good deal.
I'm loving the car (don't ask what I used to drive...), but as mentioned above, I'd love to get some better mileage out of it. (I'm getting about 22 - 23 MPG highway driving...it's rated at what, 27? 26? I can't remember).
Any suggestions? What are my options, and what're the costs? (Also, keep in mind that I'm the first to admit that I don't know a hell of a lot about cars...)
Thanks,
Darryl
