ok what im tryin to find out is will a dohc altinator work with a sohc

right now my car has a bad alt and im not gona pay 120$ for a band new one
so i been lookin on the boards for a used butt cheap one

 

89-94 all work together... later 95 and up have a bigger terminal on the power post. ( requires you to wire on bigger O ring connection

also the s14 alternator is slightly different to compensate for the stock amp and other luxuries

 

i figured it was 89-94 butt had to make sure before i buy this alt.

my concern was the 2 diff motors(sohc/dohc) wasnt sure if they had the same alt.

 

in a few weeks, if you still need one, i have a brand new alternator with literally 20 miles on it that i put on to get the sohc running before the motor swap, ill ship it cheap.

 

i can wait a few weeks still have to get my licence and reg the car butt in the mean time im still workin on the car, took me a week to put the car back together and geting the motor to run, come to find out it was an altinator and some stupid **** i over looked when i replace the wire harnes, what u want for it send me a pm on the price
