JDM Tach Cluster not working!!!!!

I have a 1990 240sx with a Redtop SR, I got a JDM Cluster so I could have a working tach, but when I changed it with the US for the JDM Cluster, the tach still doesnt work but everything else work. Does any know whats wrong?

Thanks in advance.

wtf

yeah i am having the same problem, did you change the ecu also when you swapped the sr. i am wondering if it doesn't read the right signal.

I don't know but any help is appreciated.

The jdm s13 cluster mounts directly into the 89-94 240fb and coupes.

so my guess is there is an issue with wiring or power readings, when i first start up the car the tach needle jumps to about 1500rpm then drops to zero and doesn't move.

welp............

word from night (Gospel) is that the tach can't read the signal from the SOHC KA24's maybe others too.

I kinda thought that but wasn't sure, if you already did the swap then i really don't know what to tell ya.

but probably go with an aftermarket tach as suggested by Night.
