Angry Misbehaving spark plug wires :(((( Nissan 240SX

For the past two years I have change my spark plug wires and spark plugs about seven times. For some reason the spark plug wires would not stay in the nest for more then a week. I have to always open the hood and push them in.

I have no idea what could be the cause but it’s driving me crazy . Has anyone experienced the same problem, or have a solution for this.

Thanks in advance.

That sounds really serious dude. Someone on here will be able to tell you what the hell is going on, but just reading this I can imagine it's not going to be an easy/cheap/fun fix to make, good luck with that :S.

Have you changed out the distributor cap itself? If you haven't change that and the rotor. That's only about 30 dollars

Yes I have, I have changed the distributor and the cap several times. But the problem is not on that end of the spark plug wires it’s on the other end (where the engine meets the wires).

On your wires, the part that holds the plug. crimp the end a little so that it holds the plug better. You can push the wire out of the cap so that you can access it. Its kind of hard but can be done. I used to have this problem alot and that is what i did. They never popped off again.

Then on the distributer twist tie each of the wires to the cap. This should stop them from backing out if they are doing the same there also. Good luck. Hope this is what you were reffering too.
