Thumbs up My E-brake is Stuck

Hi, I just received my car today, and The parking/e-brake is stuck in the upward position. I have pushed really hard on the button and it will not release. Do you guys know how to fix this?

Did you pull up while pushing in the button, I know some people who couldn't get mine down when they tried and thats all I had to do to get it down...

This is very dissapointing, I just got my car in, it is visually unsettling, the seller did not describe the extent of the exterior damage, and I can't even drive the car because the car is on E and the e-brake is stuck in place.

I had a similar situation except i broke it. I recieved one of those e-brake buttons but it was worthless because it pulled out my spring a little bit. So you remove the cover, pull out the spring, and bam your done. Im not sure how to fix it per say but i when you put the cover back on, there is a little hole just big enough for your finger so you can manually set the e-brake, and you may now use it as an "e-brake button" (when you pull up it doesn't lock)

When you're eBrake is stuck, that means God doesn't want you to drive it.

Hey guys, thanks for the replies. I had a friend come over, and as soon as he placed his hands on the brake, it moved. He fixed it and adjusted it also. Daaang.
