well i am driving a 1990 240sx fastback. I just found my stock exhaust is blowed and I tried to patch it several times but it just made the hole bigger everytime. so I decided to get a new exhaust. which one would you guys recommand? is the pacesetter exhaust good? or should I just get a custom exhaust from local shop and use ebay muffeler with that. since I am not going turbo. I don't think I would get those expensive 3" one.

 

I heard the pacesetter exhaust is crap. you can go with a custom 2.5 in. set-up with a nice muffler like a magnaflow or something. dont get a ebay muffler unless you want to sound like a honda.

 

Check out BRM. Go to Nico forums and search they have sound clips.

 

I've read some other places that the Megan Racing exhaust is pretty good, and it can usually be found relatively cheap...

 

oh I thought megan racing is one of the ebay shop. hehe. well since it is 3" I don't think I will get that. but thanks for your input. cuz my friend just install an ebay muffler on his integra and it really sounds like ricer

 

oh for the magnaflow. which size should I use? cuz there are plenty in ebay and donno how to choose from

 

stock piping on a s13 is 2" i believe.

 

of course an ebay muffler is going to sound ricey, they're cheaply made and are pieces of crap. Megan racing is acually a company that makes a lot of parts, and they're pretty good quality at an affordable price. check out http://www.meganracing.com/

 

hmm so I would have to get a 2" inlet muffler. well what if I wanna make it 2.5"? would I have to change my cat too?

and for the oval muffler wound 5X9 fit? or should I get 4X8?
