Need Help: Injector Removal

Did some research, but couldn't find any detailed info on removing injectors from my CA18DET.

I need to replace my injectors, and need some pointers of how to do it correctly. I have looked through the FSM, and know the proper way to release fuel pressure. Mainly, I need to know what I need to remove to get to the injectors. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

take off the injector harness clips, unscrew the two screws holding the plate and injector onto the fuel rail. then use two small screwdrivers the pry the injector up using the small slots on either side... it will probably be in there pretty well. personally i use pliers instead shaped like this:

similar to the ones labeled zp-13

to install the new injectors use some motor oil or engine assy. lube and give the lower and upper orings a generous wetting.

Will Injectors for a 1991 1G Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX drop right in as replacement for CA18DET?

Thanks silviaks2nr

I'm still under the impression that the ca18det uses top feed injectors.

it may be top feed, you would know better than me. There are serveral devices on the market that convert the signal to low impedence
