What did you touch or where were you in the car while doing this work? If the fuel pump comes on that means the ECU is getting power.Does the starter try to turn over? If not meeter the switch on the column to assure power is being sent from it. It could just be burned out.
ran power wire from battery thought ecu gromit, under pas side carpet. spaker wires under das and down driver side. and like i said berfor the starter make no attempt to engage. battery is good, lights dont dim when i try to start, i can rol start and she sounds perfect. bang on the start to see if the selanoid fried but still nothing. found no obvious loose or unconected wires. will be breaking out the micro metter to day to test relays and switches. any ideas.
Yea go under the hood and check your main ignition fuse and the starter/alt fuses. I blew a main ignition because of poor wiring but the previous owner and my car wouldnt do anything. It would come on but wouldnt fire up. As soon as i tried to start it the ign fuse would pop. Found out the wiring was done poorly and was causing it.
ok, so where is this starter fuse. i checked every fuse in the relay box under hood on pas side. all good, i used the multi meter not to mention visualy inspected every fuse i saw. im not new to the 240 world but is there somthing im missing.
