yes thats true, but cops in LA are like that, to them an intercooler means something illegal is under the hood, if u lived in california you would know the smog laws and such. IIRC california has the most strict smog laws in the world and turbos are not very enviroment friendly, so intercooler leads to turbo which leads to very high chance your car are not smog legal, and also IIRC not alot of FMIC are not carb legal which would make it illegal in california. the state knows alot of people are illegally passing smog and more likely than not someone with a FMIC has done it illegally so that's what their tryin to stop, and the IC is a good way to spot someone whos breaking the law

and no i dont believe they sell a full cat back system with this muffler, however if u want titanium tip u can get the full cat back that has the TI tip and carbon fiber muffler

 

they don't sell that in a full catback for the 240sx either. How loud is your's with the custom piping?

 

o yea i guess they dont, well its pretty loud, gets pretty annoying on the freeway cruising at 80, but u can drown it out with music and i like the sound its deep n kinda like a wrx with i guess mini backfire sounds(no sparks), but hey it could be perfect volume for u, i still get scared around cops tho, but thats jus being paranoid about everything and anything to do with LA cops

 

about the cops...is it louder than the 85mm hi power? That is relatively quiet.

 

hks has a resonator on its piping, so yea its louder, and i have the 75mm hi power, which is pretty close, i guess if u think its quiet my exhaust wouldnt be that loud to u

 

No, it's just that IC = turbo system. Turbo sytem on an stock NA engine means it's illegal unless the system is CARB certified, like Greddy's KA turbo system.
