oil pressure gauge
#2
There are a couple of problems with attaching the sender for most pressure guages. The first is that the thread is 1/8 NPT while the stock sensor port is 1/8 BSPT. The second is that most senders will not fit there and allow the filter to fit.
I used a bunch of parts from www.mcmastercarr.com to mount mine and keep the OEM sensor intact.
I bought an adapter to go from 1/8" BSPT to 1/8" NPT. I screwed this into the port next to the filter. I then attached a stainless braided line (1/8" NPT) to this adapter. I ran this line to a stainless 1/8" NPT tee fitting. One other port of the tee got the sensor for my autometer guage.
I bought another adapter to adapt the stock sensor to 1/8" NPT thread and threaded the adapter / sensor assebly to the other port of the tee.
Another way to do it is with a remote oil filter relocation kit. If you're running an oil cooler, this option will fit best with your setup.
I think the parts I used came to ~$20 from the website I listed. I ended up mounting the sensors to the intake manifold with a hose clamp. Not elegant, but I just wanted to get things working. I can always order a longer stainless line if I decide to mount it elsewhere.

If I work up the courage to dig through my receipt box, I will give you the part numbers for the products, because that website is a little overwhelming - but they have EVERYTHING if you put the time in searching.
