Unhappy power window failure

Recently my driver side power window stopped in a halfway down position since then my car has been broken into. I can't seem to figure out the problem as far as I can tell I think its the motor. Is there anyway to manually move the glass up to avoid replacing the motor? If its bad? Any help would be appreciaed.

You'll have to remove the regulator first and put the window up then set the regulator back to up also. I can almost guarentee it's the motor (aka check fuses for it and relays and stuff...not just motor) unless you have something blocking the path.

you can try disconnecting the cable that is connected to the power window switch and hooking it up to a battery. then, after the window is rolled up, try and figure out how to fix it.
