Lightbulb Racing is just not woth it

Hello, i am saying street recing is just not worth it is bacause unfortunately i lost a friend of mines this past week due to a car accident.
My friend was in the backseat of a honda civic hatch, the driver was racing in the highway with another civic. Weaving in and out of lanes when he failed to realize that the traffic was starting to slow down. So what happened was that a tractor trailer was slowing down for traffic and that's when this little civic hit the trailer in the back at apprximately 110mph, this made the civic start to spin and thats when the back of the car hit the center devider. This caused the rear to be crushed, thats where my friend was at. What had happened was that the honda civic carried 2 rims on the back. My friend died in the ambulance.
The other 2 passenger are in good condition.

REST IN PEACE- William Leon , age 20 Brox NYC

yeah im lucky to be alive. i made a stupid mistake and hit a tree on the driver side door of my car at 100mph. the whole car was v shaped and some how i crawled out of the window without a scratch. i love cars but that really made me take a step back and look at life. im going to the track this summer. if your gonna play do it in big parking lots or on back roads that you know late at night. racing in traffic or with other people in the car is stupid. when your driving you are solely responsible for eveyone in your car. if some one would have been with me and got hurt i couldnt have lived with myself. im sorry to hear about your freind and everyone elses....may they r.i.p.

this is the kind of thing that makes you really look at the value of life and of safety. i just got home (not an hour ago) from driving in the mountains with a few of my friends. we were all going the speed limit, but even then we found a blind corner that had some bad angles on it. i had dropped back just in case they needed space just before that, and when i got to that turn, the rear end got loose and i nearly spun. lucklily my brain shut off and my hands did the rest, reducing the slide to a couple fishtails and a nice stop. i was seriously lucky, but for the rest of the drive i was thinking "im glad that was as the speed limit, and that i was able to control it... no way am i gonna push it EVER."

2 weeks ago my friend rolled his car. he and the 3 with him got out with bruises, but once again, slick road, normal speed. i consider myself to be very fortunate to be standing here, and to still have the 4 friends who were in the car. my condolences and respects.

and thats why I no longer have my ITR...racing a BMW 330Ci down the interstate doing about 100. An 18 wheeler decided he wanted the lane that I was flying in. I let off the gas, tried to swing around him but the car oversteered (yes ITRs "lift-throttle" oversteer) and slammed into the front tire to the trailer, spun me to the right sideways, flipped, slid on the roof, flipped twice more and the front end of the car landed on the guard rail. My passenger and I walked out without a scratch. Unfortuately the ITR was completely demolished.

But you walked out without a scrach. Rather car to be demolished than dead or paralyized or some shi7 like that. Condolenses to juls. It isn't a big help but at least you now know that other people share your opinion for saftey.

This past Saturday my friend in an EVO 8 got his car impounded and several tickets totaling around 5000 for racing a POS civic. he beat the civic by earthlengths but now his insurance is going to rocket.

I'm sorry about your friend.

Where i live, we lost 3 kids in 2 weeks. Ever since then, the police have been very strict around here...

I agree with you 100%, take it to the track.
